Google AdSense for Mobile Applications Was Just Lauched
Given the increasing popularity of mobile applications, Google has just launched Google AdSense for Mobile Applications program, intended for both developers and marketers. AdSense for Mobile Applications is still in beta stage and will provide developers a tempting alternative to monetize their applications created for Android and iPhone mobile devices.
Developers will be able to control all aspects related to the text or image ads displayed through their applications, such as ads integration parameters, selection of the highest-paying ads and ads display by selection. On the other hand, online marketers will be more engaged with mobile users, reaching a wider audience.
Susan Wojcicki, Google’s Vice President of Product Management stated: “We want to contribute to the growth of these mobile applications, which is why we’re happy to announce our beta launch of AdSense for Mobile Applications. After all, advertisers are looking for ways to reach potential customers when they are engaged with mobile content, and application developers are looking for ways to show the best ads to their users. We have already had a successful trial of this service with a small number of partners, and are excited that we can now offer this solution to a broader group.”
The text and images ads displayed on mobile devices can be targeted by keyword, demographics, and location. Advertisers are allowed to directly bid for a placement in a mobile application.
The ads can be managed by marketers through the simple to use AdWords interface and the entire mobile marketing campaign is easy to monitor with Google Analytics. Google AdSense for Mobile Applications beta is available on the official website.
