Google Toolbar: Automatic Detection Of Web Page Language
The new Google Toolbar intended for Internet Explorer only will make easier for you to interact with web pages having text content written in foreign languages. It is capable to automatically detect if the language of a web page is different than your default language and will provide you the possibility to automatically translate the page with the help of Google Translate service.
In a post published on Google Official Blog, Jerry Tang and Dick Sites, Software Engineers explain:”The new Translate feature is available in all international versions of Toolbar, including English, and the translation service supports 41 different languages: Albanian, Arabic, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Filipino, Finnish, French, Galician, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.”
After a translation has been performed, for the web pages written in the same language, you will not be forced to repeat the process, because the translation will be made automatically. In case of pages with dynamic content, the translation is effectuated in real time.
In case of repeated translations of pages written in a certain language, in the future, Google Toolbar will detect that language and will automatically translate the content.
Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer has also other features, such as instant suggestions for faster web browsing or the Quick Search Box for launching applications and websites easier. Google Toolbar with advanced web page translation can be downloaded for free just by Internet Explorer 6.0+ users for now, but in the near future, the Firefox version of the toolbar with the same feature will be also released.
