Yesterday, we have exclusively published an article regarding the latest update of Google Blog Search service, before Google Official Blog or other news websites. Unfortunately, no one seen the news, except a few minor websites who do not even mentioned a credit link for the article Google Blog Search: Hot Queries And Latest Posts. If you will look at the article time stamp, the date and the hour when it was published indicate that the content of the article is completely original, based on an analysis of the Google Blog Search front end: we have identified the addition of Hot Queries and Latest Posts sections in the right side of the main GUI (Graphical User Interface), knowing that the latest update of the service was made in the autumn of 2008.

And you maybe are asking yourself: so what is so important about publishing this article? In the first place it is a news published exclusively, long time before any “major” web sites noticed it.

In the second place, this was an interesting experiment showing the mechanism of news propagation around the Internet. The main observations lead us to conclude that not the essence of a news is important for people or search engine, even the article was promoted on popular social networks like Digg, Facebook and Twitter.

If the underlining of Google Blog Search update, reflected in the content of the article Google Blog Search: Hot Queries And Latest Posts would have been observed by the major websites, which also written about this update after the publishing of the news on Google Official Blog, maybe more incoming links should existed.

IN CONCLUSION: do not bother to search and publish the latest news in real time, because you could not get the deserved credits, as normally and correctly should. It seems that there are unknown variables, such as different interests which makes the true news invisible in search engines and the most popular social networking services.
