Salesforce And Adobe: Rich Internet Applications In The Cloud
Adobe Systems Incorporated has just announced the partnership with Salesforce.com, the enterprise cloud computing company, to provide a revolutionary environment for the development of cloud based rich Internet applications: Adobe Flash Builder for Force.com. It integrates two powerful platforms, Adobe Flash and Force.com platform to improve the development productivity of enterprise Flash cloud applications.
David Wadhwani, general manager and vice president of the Platform Business Unit at Adobe explains the benefits of the partnership between Adobe and Salesforce.com:
“This strategic partnership with salesforce.com has opened up a significant opportunity to tightly integrate our platforms for the development and delivery of rich, highly productive business applications that can be quickly deployed in the cloud, adapted and scaled as the business changes and grows.”
Developers will have all the flexibility they need, such as the possibility of adding interactive user interface (UI) features to the cloud based applications or scaling the application according to a certain business needs.
Adobe Flash Builder for Force.com contains Professional Eclipse-based IDE, which bridges Adobe Flash Builder and the Force.com IDE into a common development environment. It also integrates Adobe LiveCycle Data Services for client-side data management and synchronization services.
On the salesforce.com website the developer preview of Adobe Flash Builder for Force.com is already provided. The final product is expected to be available in first half of 2010.
