The DNS (Domain Name Server) flaw discovered by the security researcher, Dan Kaminsky, Director of Penetration Testing ( IOActive Inc.) was solved for Mac OS X v10.4.11, Mac OS X Server v10.4.11, Mac OS X v10.5.4, Mac OS X Server v10.5.4. The Security Update 2008-005 provides the patches for the DNS flaw that allows to an attacker to generate a cache poisoning process. (more…)
