By using a fuzzing based test method, the security experts Charlie Miller and Collin Mulliner have injected SMS messages locally in an iPhone, without the need of a mobile operator network and have demonstrated how a virus can be enabled on an iPhone device in the absence of phone user participation, just by receiving a SMS. On July 06, 2009, Microsoft has made public the existence of a severe security flaw in Internet Explorer, caused by a vulnerability discovered in Microsoft Video ActiveX Control. As a consequence, if any attacker succeeds in exploiting this security leak of Internet Explorer browser, then the user computer could be remotely controlled by the attacker, with the same access rights over the machine resources and data, as the ones corresponding to the owner.

The recent reports about the new version of the Win32/Conficker (W32.Downadup) threat, reveal the fact that starting since April 1st, 2009 the worm will change its mechanism of action, but concrete information regarding what it will do, there are not specified yet.
