Ok, this script requires a small amount of work on the user's part. Basically you've got to edit it and adjust the regular expressions I set up in two arrays at the very beginning of the script. The idea is to figure out a way to identify posts by someone who's hassling you (or how to identify a thread that just irritates you, like one of the endless racist arguments that show up on Rants and Raves), code a regular expression to match it, and make those posts vanish into thin air.

I'm having some fun with it so far. I've managed to make one creep totally disappear from my view. It drove him NUTS. He started posting from random locations just to try to get me to argue with him. Actually that was a little creepy, ha ha.

Anyway, this script also lets you set up regular expressions for people you like, or subjects you're interested in. If one of your "keep" regexps matches, it turns the whole post link bright green. It really stands out.

It's GPL of course, so if you want to rewrite it, do something else with it, etc, feel free! If you have any ideas for improvements, let me know.

So far, it's tested on Firefox/Linux, I haven't tried Windows or Mac yet...
